what wld be the cost of vacation in salalah, oman for a couple for 3 days,starting frm sharjah

If you have a good-working car then go down Dhaid road to Fujairah, straight to the Gulf of Oman, take a right to Kalba and go to the border. From Sharjah to Fujairah is an hour + 10 minutes to Muscat, it’s 3 hours, then to Salalah’ there’s another 7 hours. Ultimately, from Fujairah, it’s 11 hours, a long road my friend. For daily eating, I recommend about 25-35 dhs per person for meals, equally 2.5-3.5 Omani riyals approximately. I couldn’t recommend any agencies but I can suggest that if you don’t have a car, to rent one from the Hilton Fujairah for dhs120 per day, insurance included from Hertz and go on down. You do need a visa. Most foreigners are given one on the border, not sure about different nationalities, just contact the Omani embassy. Regarding accomodation, I’m sure you could find them on the net. I slept in the car because all hotels were full. Those Germans. A worthwhile trip. Bring me back some frankincense.
