My husband wants to take a job there. Is it expensive? We are not muslim. I homeschool my kids. What is there to do for fun?

Oman is a beautiful country to live in. It’s very peaceful and quite place to relax. Crime rate is almost none existence. The capital Muscat is full of malls , recreational places to be for children, parks, beaches, activity clubs, and alot more. Oman isn’t that expensive to live in considering the salaries given so you probably will enjoy a higher standard of living than you expect. I lived in Oman for 7 years and it was some of the most beautiful times.
Oman enjoys a variety of U.S, British, and other store chains like Pizza Hut, Mcdonalds, Burger King, and alot more. Has also movie theaters, enjoy fast internet connection, cell phone services. It’s a nice place to be , but you can always give it a visit to make sure. Best of luck though

These days the rents in Muscat have shot up considerably (and also the availability is also a problem) so you need to check if your husband is getting an accomodation in his package. The other difficulty is getting school admission, since you homeschool your kids then there is no hassles in this regard.
Its a beautiful country where you can do scuba diving, camping and travel to exotic places. The people are friendly and there is freedom of religion and you can practise your religion and there are places of worships of different religions.
