Question by Passenger: Is it possible to take a boat from Dubai (UAE) to Muscat (Oman)?
If it is possible, can you provide a bit more details, and whether there are dangers in that region which make it unwise for tourists?

Sailing your own boat? Yes, and there’s an annual sailing race. Straits of Hormuz are narrow and busy, and stay a long way from Iran and Iranian occupied islands in the gulf but otherwise should be fine. Many people do.

Commercial services? None that I know of.
