I am from India and would like to know if 1000 OMR is sufficient enough for survining in Muscat for two people. Want to get idea on cost of accommodation (fully furnished house) and cost of owning second hand car and its recurring expenses.

It think it should be enought.
- Renting of accommodation : variable depending on the location, but expect at least 350 Ryals per month for a apartment.
- Car renting : 150 Ryals per month for a basic car, like a Mitsubishi lancer.
