Is ECNR stamp required on the passport for travelling from India to Muscat (Oman) ?

Question by Rajeev K: Is ECNR stamp required on the passport for travelling from India to Muscat (Oman) ?
There is various reports regarding ECR & ECNR now a days. What is the latest goverment rule in this regard.

Well, why you don’t visit the website of the Oman Embassy in Delhi and ask the Embassy per email???

    Yes, you should get ECNR stamped on your passport before leaving. Recently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India have been simplified the criteria for ECNR status. Submit your passport along with attested copy of your educational certificates (matriculation or above) and you will get back your passport on the same day.
