Question by vijay r: Is 1400 OMR is a good Salary in Muscat, Oman.?
I am a Software Engineer have 4+ years of experience. The offer does not include accomadation. I have to find my own. I want to stay there with my wife . So I can’t go for a shared accomadation. I need advice from you people whether this is a good salary or I have to ask for more. What is the average salary of a software engineer who is having 4 or 5 years of experience.

1400 rials is really good
some people in oman live for 200rials only…
the rent will be around 600-700rials.. and food for a month for 5people is around 100rials per month…
so 2people will be around 30-50 rials
so you will have around 700rials left..which is really good
you can get a car in around a month or 2…
some Toyota cars are around 1000rials+…
used are cheaper…
and Oman is a really nice country…

most of the ppl der get around 800-1000…
