If Saudia Arabia, Qatar, Oman, etc. had no oil do you think that they would have the wealth?

or the intelligence/motivation to have built an infrastructure for their respective countries. Or could they build up their countries like Israel has, with sacrifice and blood. I think they would still be living in desert like Bedouins. What do you think?
The point of my question is an answer to “Haifa” that says in answer to a question of what if Arabs had control of Israel and she stated the Dubai’s economy is stronger than Israels. Good enough for you?

would they have the wealth still, I don’t know. What I do know is that your question is devised in order to get as many derogatory responses against the Arabs as you can, which I find to be childish. What exactly is the point of this question?

No way, those countries are still poor despite having so much money from the oil. The citizens dont even pay taxes,. We’ll see if they stil have money in the next 10 years after nobody is buying their oil

LOL. Dude like Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa has like alot of palace. How many palaces does the good old emir of Qatar has. Emir of Qatar owns like 90% of the nations wealth and what about the human rights abuses in Qatar? Same thing with Saudi Arabia and other fascist oligarch oil sheiks. Too bad these oil oligarchs have OPEC. Bunch of fascist who live in palaces and rich life while their own people starve. And why don”t these rich oil sheiks help the palestinians?

No, they probably wouldn’t be wealthy. But it’s a completely moot point; they DO have oil, scads of it, and thus, they ARE wealthy.
Would the United States be wealthy if it were one vast desert? The answer is, of course, no; the U.S. is wealthy because of its abundent natural resources…timber, water, minerals, farmland, precious metals, and oh yeah, oil.
And don’t kid yourself about Israel. The Israelis have built a nation on the backs of the Palestinian people, not to mention having stolen most of the water from the Jordan (which is why they refuse to give the West Bank back to the rightful inhabitants. Israelis fill their swimming pools while Palestinian crops die from want of precious water. BTW, Israel’s economy is the result of the likes of ME—the unwilling American taxpayer, without whose funding Israel would not exist.

I’ve traveled the Arab world, if it wasn’t for oil they would be just as they were, most would be living in desert like Bedouins, matter if fact most do.

The royality would still be rich but not so rich as to build these places.
the poor would be the same as they are now and have always been . Oppressed and ignorant.
