Question by sn23422: i have been offered a job in salalah oman.can u tell me what kind of social life they havehowmanyindiansrthere
what kind of schools r there?are women free to roam about thereas i m presently staying in saudi n they have much restrictions here.please tell me is it worth living there?n also i have heard that there r so many mosquitoes there n the houses r also very small?please answer me urgently.

I have stayed in Oman before and have not been to Salalah so cant answer your question regarding mosquitos. There is an Indian school there and lot of indians and also an indian social club. There are absolutely no restrictions in Oman and women can roam alone, drive cars and work if they get a job, you can pray and there are temples as well. House size depend on your budget. You can drink liquor as well.

Weather in Salalah is good as you get Monsoon rains and the area becomes very green and beautiful. But life is slow there and social activities are limited.

Its a far better place than Saudi in terms of restriction etc. You dont need an exit visa every time you wnat to go and you get a multiple entry 2 years visa.
