Question by ? cosmochick ?: How to obtain a U.S. tourist visa with Oman Residence Visa?
My uncle who’s in California wants me to visit him and his family for a 3 days to a week stay. How will I obtain a u.s. tourist visa? How much should be the show-money and what are the requirements?

I’m currently working for a hotel earning $ 13,140 annually.

The requirements for obtaining a visit visa to the USA (if visa necessary) depend on your Nationality and not where you reside. Depending on your Nationality you may run into problems if for your Nationality proof is required that you have strong ties back in your home country. I.e. an employment, property etc. In this case it also will be required to show bank statements for the past 6 months and that you have enough suffient funds in the bank in case of an emergency.

I personally know quiet a few people (Asians) whose visas to the US and GB was denied because they were “just” residents of the UAE.
