1. 1080 is a very good salary for a single person, you can save over than 600 OMR, if you dont opt for luxurious life.
2. food is cheap, individaul shelter depends on area, but the average for a single person is 200 OMR, travel (petrol for car, or Taxi?) (petrol to fullfill the fuel tank in a normal car = 10 max OMR) (Taxi depends)
3.IT industry is in growth, oppurtunities are enlarging with time (but can be difficult for non-omani)
4. is ther a different!!!! no… Indians are have a a very big population in Oman, and you will not face any problems being out of different religion or culture..
personal experience and opinion:
a. good place for work. (money)
b. Indians, Pakistani, (and other south Asia nationalities) are VERY common in Oman..
c. weather: hot most year.
d. most common sport: Tennis.

Based on my experience, I would say that 600 OMR per month is a minimum to live correctly.
But I don’t think 1080 OMR is such a good salary when you know that some expat in Oman can have a salary up to 2500OMR per month, but it depends on your salary presently in india.
