Question by Mina Mimi: Do women in Oman walk around with the burqas? I am muslim and am traveling there soon and want to know.?
I want to know the proper attire to be respectful.

the traditional Omani Burqa is different than the usual black niqab you see in the rest of gulf countries, though young women don’t wear it , some women from older generations still do. Mainly in Oman,UAE, and to a rare extent Qatar.

Of course there are women who wear niqab but it is extremely rare to see amongst natives in Oman , though there are Muslim expats & visitors/tourists from gulf who you will see there wearing niqab.
You can of course wear it freely , no one would ask.
