Question by Kavitha: Can I have two GCC residence visa (Dubai and Oman)?
Hi, I am working in Dubai, but my husband has just moved to Oman. Can i keep my Dubai work visa and get a Omani family visa at the same time?
The PRO in my husband’s company is insisting that I cancel my visa before they issue a Family visa for me.

No , not possible for the time being because your Dubai visa will show on Omani immigration computer so they will not issue it. But you can enter Oman with on arrival visit visa if your Dubai job meets allowed classifications. Else ask Omani immigration may be a waiver can be issued considering the family situation.
In a few years they are replacing all GCC work visas with unified one. At least then it will be possible to move around like it is the case within the UAE right now.

Yes you can do that, there is no harm in it. In fact I had two work visas at the same time and there was no issues. Oman is not bothered abt what other visas you have on your passport and the same is true with UAE. Each country has their own systems and they are not linked. Go ahead and do it.

How does the PRO get into this. The family visa is given just on the basis of a passport copy and then it is stamped at the airport. Tell him not to act smart
