
Officials: 4 dead in UAE plane crash ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — The civil aviation authority in the United Arab Emirates says four people were killed when a private plane crashed shortly after takeoff. A statement by the General Civil Aviation Authority says the Grumman 21T aircraft went down moments after taking off Sunday at Al Ain International Airport about 60 miles (100 kilometers) east of Abu Dhabi. The plane was en route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The aviation authority says the aircraft was destroyed and investigators were at the site.
